Chicago, IL
K9 University Chicago is a West Garfield Park full-service dog facility on West Lake Street founded in 1992 - one of Chicago’s longest-running multi-service dog operations. The “University” name reflects the strong training focus alongside grooming, daycare, and boarding. The facility markets itself as “the only dog services facility in Chicago that accepts ALL dogs.”
Daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, and training (private lessons, group classes, board-and-train programs). On-site retail counter for food. Shuttle service covers Chicago city for pickup and drop-off.
Dogs only. All sizes and breeds accepted (no temperament screening barrier).
Monday-Friday 7 AM-7 PM, Saturday-Sunday 8 AM-4 PM. Seven-day operation.
30+ year tenure in Chicago, all-breeds-accepted policy (unlike many daycares that screen out reactive dogs), and the training-and-board combo make K9U a workhorse choice for clients managing dog behavior issues alongside daily care needs.
